At True Potential, we succeed by working together with a “Do More” attitude, and we pride ourselves on extending this to our community. You’ve seen this in our support for the Social Mobility Pledge, and we are excited to share with you that we are now at the forefront of a new national initiative to tackle the effects of the coronavirus – the C-19 Business Pledge.
Founded by former cabinet minister, Rt Hon. Justine Greening, and our chairman David Harrison, the C-19 Business Pledge aims to harness the power of business as a force for good in tackling the Coronavirus epidemic. Together we can get the UK back on its feet.
True Potential is one of the first businesses to sign the C-19 Business Pledge, alongside other major names such as Everton Football Club and Severn Trent Water.
What does it mean to sign the Pledge? Once a business has secured their future, the Pledge asks them to lend a hand to getting Britain through this epidemic and back on track. There are three pillars to this – employees, customers, and community. If businesses can commit to helping out in these three areas, then the UK can come together as a whole to emerge stronger from the Coronavirus situation.
True Potential has shaped the business response to this national crisis, taking early action to ensure we lead the way for our employees, clients and customers. True Potential Chief Executive Daniel Harrison led the way on this, launching a ‘Head Office Site 2’ and putting in ‘Work From Home’ policies designed to protect staff and ensure clients enjoy business as usual. In terms of community, True Potential partnered with the Harrison Foundation to donate £5,000 to Tynedale Hospice At Home. More than ever, we need to help the elderly and vulnerable within our communities. True Potential’s signing of the C-19 Business Pledge ensures we will keep our commitment to employees, customers, and community.
Daniel Harrison, True Potential Chief Executive, said: “I believe businesses doing more for the wider world will be absolutely vital in getting the country through this. A war effort is required and everybody must play their part. I urge employers of any size to consider anything at all they can do with their resources – whether that’s people power, goods, services or money – to help others.”
