Here at True Potential we’ve been delighted to represent Metro Radio’s Cash For Kids as an official drop off point for gifts. We’ve seen over a hundred gifts donated from staff and guests at True Potential Head Office.
Cash For Kids is aiming to change the lives of 48,500 kids in poverty in the North East, ensuring every child has a present to open on December 25th. True Potential Chief Executive Daniel Harrison felt so strongly about this cause that he took it upon himself to visit Metro Radio and donate a £5,000 cheque from True Potential.
Speaking on the popular Steve & Karen Breakfast Show, Daniel said “We just really wanted to get involved with this fantastic cause. I think Cash For Kids is a great effort, and what we love about it is the fact it helps the North East. We’re really happy to be involved both at True Potential and the Harrison Centre for Social Mobility which I’m a trustee of.”
Someone else who felt strongly about the Cash For Kids cause was Gregg Lang, Head Of True Potential Adviser Services.
“As part of the Social Mobility Pledge, True Potential highlighted that sport is a great leveller,” Gregg says. “Something as simple as a football really can inspire children to do more. I really hope all these kids have a great December 25th.”
With this in mind, Gregg rallied his team to kick start a collection that raised enough money to buy 50 footballs to add to the large collection of toys and gifts donated.

The presents gathered at True Potential have now been collected by Cash For Kids, and are on their way to be distributed to children who otherwise wouldn’t have had a gift to open this December 25th.
Everyone at True Potential and our wider community has come together and ensured that children in the North East will be having an excellent festive period. Well done to all involved and a very happy holidays!
